Officer Ersi Madrid #2945 for her dedication and supervisory work performance as an Acting Sergeant at Central Regional Command, overseeing Day Shift Patrol Operations. Since 12/14/2022, Officer Madrid has been temporarily promoted to an Acting Sergeant, overseeing the field operations of the CRCC Day Shift Patrol.
Officer Madrid was asked and immediately accepted the massive responsibility of overseeing her own shift as a sergeant, along with all the included responsibilities that rank holds. Within a very short period of time, Officer Madrid acclimated to the assignment very quickly and has excelled at her new assignment.
Officer Madrid has always treated fellow officers with dignity and respect, which in turn, the officers on the shift have accepted Officer Madrid as a supervisor which is not an easy task dealing with more senior officers in the department.
Officer Madrid has earned and built the trust of our officers, civilians and supervisors whom she works with at Central Regional Command. Officer Madrid has been observed setting the highest standards and holding herself and everyone in our organization accountable for maintaining our standards and the mission of the El Paso Police Department. Officer Madrid has been communicating horizontally, vertically, openly, transparently, and continually with all parties involved. Officer Madrid has been observed mentoring, evaluating, and recognizing her team members honestly and fairly. Even with such a new stressful duty assignment, Officer Madrid is still having fun by embracing her responsibilities with enthusiasm and optimism.
Officer Madrid has taken on this duty head-on and has handled several critical incidents, crime scenes investigations and emergency situations with professionalism. Officer Madrid is a very responsible professional asset to the El Paso Police Department and Central Regional Command Center.
